Yuriy Reznik is the Founder and CTO of Streaming Labs, Ltd., a research and technology consulting firm specializing in the design, performance analysis, and optimization of video delivery systems.

He previously served as Vice President of Research at Brightcove, Inc. (2016–2025), Director of Engineering at InterDigital, Inc. (2011–2016), Staff Engineer at Qualcomm, Inc. (2005–2011), and Principal Engineer at RealNetworks, Inc. (1998–2005).

His career has been devoted to advancing video technologies and standards. He was the principal developer of RealVideo, and a contributor to the H.264/AVC, HEVC, VVC, DASH, and CMAF standards. He also led the development of the encoding engines behind Zencoder and Brightcove’s Context-Aware Encoding products—technologies recognized with NATAS Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards.

Dr. Reznik earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the National University of Kyiv in 2005. In 2008, he was a visiting scholar at Stanford University, where he studied advanced topics in image and video processing. In 2025, he joined MIT as a Research Scientist and Lecturer, teaching course 6.7010 Digital Image Processing.
