Paul LeFort is the managing director of Nielsen’s local media client solutions team, where he leads a team focused on serving the evolving needs of local TV & cable operators, as well as major local sports teams. He and his team are dedicated to empowering clients to navigate the dynamic media environment, with data-driven insights to unlock linear and digital growth opportunities across audiences, content and revenue.
During more than 20 years at Nielsen, his responsibilities have expanded from direct work with local TV stations to leading our engagements with the largest broadcasters and cable operators across the U.S. Prior to joining Nielsen, LeFort held senior commercial roles at both Verance and Arbitron Radio (acquired by Nielsen in 2013), where he honed in expertise and deepened industry collaborations with local media operators across the nation. is deep passion for local media began in college and has continued throughout his career.
LeFort is a proud alumnus of Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism/mass communications.
He and his family split their time between Des Moines, Iowa and West Los Angeles, where they have resided for more than 30 years. He is a passionate member of each community and is involved in business, higher-education, high school sports and performing arts organizations in each city.
