
Matthew Durgin, VP of Content & Services, LG Electronics
Matthew Durgin is vice president of content & services for LG Electronics. Based in LG’s North American headquarters in the New York City Metro Area, he oversees LG’s Smart TV Business team covering the North American market. Focus areas include partner negotiations, partner engagement, LG Channels / FAST and AVOD, webOS licensing and TV innovation partnerships.
During the past 18 years at LG, he has led hundreds of new content partnerships including Netflix, Amazon, Max, Disney+, Hulu and ESPN. In that time, LG has distributed over 260 million LG TVs globally including webOS Smart TVs in the US and Canada markets for more than 12 years. LG Channels has over 400 channels in the US alone and is in 36 global markets with over 4500 total channels.
Durgin is board director of the Digital Entertainment Group (DEG) and chair of their Connected Devices Committee and a board member of the Consumer Technology Association’s (CTA) Content and Entertainment Council and was awarded Top Leaders in Technology by Parks Associates in 2023 and in 2024 FAST Movers and Shakers by Media Play News.
