Dana Golub, VP, Distribution Infrastructure and Operations, PBS

As vice president, distribution infrastructure and operations, Dana Golub provides strategic direction on technology issues facing PBS and its member stations. Golub leads the PBS Interconnection system, the satellite and terrestrial network that distributes content to PBS member stations and returns local station content back to PBS for handoff to digital and streaming partners – the backbone of content delivery across the public television system. She also oversees the PBS Network Operations Center (NOC) and Security Operations Center (SOC), which monitor and protect that distribution infrastructure around the clock, and she directs all of PBS’s public safety activities, including PBS WARN and its situational awareness tools.

Golub serves as the liaison to the PBS Enterprise TechnolAdvisory Council (ETAC) and to the Interconnection Committee of the PBS Board.

Golub represented PBS on the FCC’s Communications, Security, Reliability and Interoperability Council (CSRIC VII) and also served as a federally appointed member of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) National Advisory Council (NAC) IPAWS Subcommittee. She was a finalist for the Digital Entertainment Group’s “Hedy Lamarr Award for Innovation in Entertainment Technology,” and was a featured guest on NYC Emergency Management’s podcast, “Prep Talk.”

Golub is a cum laude graduate of Georgetown University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English.
