
Dan Riess is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of U.S. Advertising for TelevisaUnivision, the world’s leading Spanish-language media company. In this role, he drives growth strategy by developing profitable new revenue opportunities and expanding the company’s suite of advertising products and marketing capabilities – all in support helping brands reach and engage with the rapidly growing U.S. Hispanic audience. Riess oversees the teams responsible for driving innovation and performance across advanced advertising products, original branded content, streaming ad formats, social creator partnerships, and e-commerce initiatives. He also leads the company’s revenue operations and client strategy functions.
Prior to joining TelevisaUnivision in 2021, Riess spent two decades at Turner/WarnerMedia, where he held a range of leadership roles across advertising, strategy, product and marketing, most recently playing a pivotal role in shaping the company’s modern advertising approach. He began his career in marketing at EMI Music/EMI Records.
Based in New York, Riess holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs from Gettysburg College.
