
Jaime Spencer, Chief Operating Officer, Magid
Jaime Spencer oversees all technology product and strategy consulting operations focused on turning consumer intelligence into business results. He assumed this position after holding multiple client service roles over 20 years with the company. Spencer has reengineered the news operations of national networks, newspapers and local stations to optimize resources and content delivery in a multiplatform environment.
He is currently leading the development of AI tools at Magid that empower content creators, marketers and sellers to be more effective in their jobs. As a corporate consultant, Spencer has developed social media strategies for retail businesses, sports teams and business-to-business corporations to help them more effectively communicate with their target audiences. He also leads due diligence efforts for media acquisitions, determining the value of media assets through consumer insight.
Spencer leads Magid’s product and data science and consulting teams. He is responsible for launching Magid products including Collaborator, the agentic AI-driven workflows solutions tool powered by Magid’s proprietary consumer data and domain expertise, currently driving workflow solutions for over 1,500 users across content creators, major brands and media companies.
Prior to his 20-year experience with Magid, Spencer was an account executive with Edelman Public Relations in Chicago, where he assisted on website development for consumer goods clients. He has also worked as a newspaper reporter and later as a publisher, overseeing all content, sales and production operations for a Gannett daily paper.
Spencer has a BA in communications from The University of Iowa. He sits on the professional advisory board for the School of Journalism & Mass Communications and serves as an adjunct professor.
