Dana Neves, Senior Operating Officer, Gray Local Media
Dana Neves brings decades of award-winning journalism and leadership to her role. In an anomaly for the industry, her career began at CBS affiliate, WFSB, as an intern. She then rose through the ranks with distinction—serving as news director, regional news director, VP/GM and SVP for the Meredith Corporation. In that role, she had national responsibility for labor relations across both print and broadcast facilities in New York City, St. Louis, Kansas City and Saginaw, Mich. Following Gray Television’s acquisition of WFSB, she was named a regional VP, overseeing stations in Connecticut, Maine and Massachusetts, as well as serving as chair of Gray’s innovation lab. She also serves as treasurer for the CBS Affiliate Board.
A proud graduate of Elon University, Neves holds a Bachelor of Arts and remains closely connected to her alma mater through her service on the Alumni Board.
Neves’ passion extends beyond the media industry. She actively serves on numerous nonprofit and civic boards, including The Denise D’Ascenzo Foundation, the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign and the Connecticut Broadcasters Association. Previously, she contributed her time and leadership to the Connecticut Police Chiefs Foundation, the Mark Twain House & Museum, Channel 3 Kids Camp and the State of Connecticut Judicial-Media Committee.
Neves and her husband, Paul, live in Ellington, Conn. They have three children—Jack, Will, and Kate.
