
Zandra Clarke serves as SMPTE’s 2026 Membership Director, bringing more than two decades of experience in broadcast transmission and live sports operations. Her career has focused on coordinating complex, high-visibility live event workflows where precision, redundancy, and real-time execution are critical.
She has managed transmission logistics for national sports broadcasts, overseeing signal acquisition and multi-path distribution while aligning technical resources across engineering, network operations, and production teams. Her work spans contribution and distribution systems, remote production models, and evolving broadcast infrastructures, including satellite and fiber transmission environments.
Operating within time-sensitive live production settings, she has supported cross-functional coordination to maintain reliability, signal integrity, and delivery continuity across platforms. Her experience reflects a working knowledge of distribution architectures and operational frameworks that underpin large-scale sports and entertainment broadcasts.
A SMPTE member since 2003, Zandra has served in multiple Section leadership roles, including Chairwoman, Secretary, and Treasurer, contributing to governance, member engagement, and local programming. She received the SMPTE Citation for Outstanding Service to the Society in recognition of her sustained leadership and operational contributions.
In her role as Membership Director, she concentrates on strengthening Section alignment, expanding member participation, and supporting professional engagement across SMPTE’s global media technology community.
