William Harrison got his start in public radio in the 1990s, when he was hired to do some computer work for WAMU-FM in Washington, DC. It quickly became apparent that he also knew a bit about audio and electronics, so he was immediately rewarded with more work being added to his to-do list. Since then he’s done various work for clients such as PBS, NPR, The Metropolitan Washington Ear, and a handful of FM and TV broadcasters, and occasionally writes for Radio World. He is the currently Chief Engineer for WETA-FM, sits on the Virginia State Emergency Communications Committee (SECC), chairs SBE Chapter 37 in DC, and is on the board of the Association of Public Radio Engineers.
