Tom Hartnett is the Technical Director of Comrex in Devens Massachusetts. Tom holds an engineering degree from the University of Massachusetts. During and after college, Tom spent several years learning the radio engineering ropes at several stations around New England. In 1988, he joined Comrex as a staff engineer and eventually became responsible for all new product development, as well as company owner. Tom has lead the development of several generations of audio codec products for Comrex, including systems that worked on analog POTS phone lines, ISDN, and IP networks. He also lead development of other telephony and web based products. When not hacking in the lab, Tom can be found golfing badly or floating on his pontoon boat.
