Tedd Dawson is a subject matter expert in IP video Ad insertion and Blackout technologies with 15 years experience designing solutions for Comcast and its syndication partners. As a Distinguished Architect for Comcast, Tedd has designed advertising and blackout solutions covering in-home and out-of-home distribution on both primary and secondary screens for linear, VOD, cloud DVR, and live events. As a member of CableLabs and SCTE, Tedd co-authored the CableLabs Event Signaling and Management (ESAM) standard and the CableLabs Event Scheduling and Notification Interface (ESNI) standard while also helping to transition them to SCTE (250 and 224 respectively). Tedd recently authored SCTE 35 part 2 and supports the maintenance of various other SCTE standards. Tedd is part of the Solutions Architecture team in the Global Technology Organization of Comcast Cable.
