Ruth Presslaff has been a radio junkie and data geek since the 1980’s.
From her stint as the first female General Manager of her college radio
station, WTUL, New Orleans, to on-air work in commercial radio, also in
New Orleans, to network radio affiliate relations and sales that took her
from New York to Washington D.C. to Chicago, it’s always been about
radio.
Ruth founded Presslaff Interactive Revenue to dig into the opportunities technology afforded local media. It started with Interactive Voice Response Systems and evolved as technology evolved: Online, first party data collection, email marketing, targeted marketing and building and managing customer relationships.
Presslaff sold her company (twice) and ran Enterprise Sales for Second
Street Media until opting out when Second Street was subsequently sold.
In 2020 Ruth was named President of the Board of Mentoring and Inspiring Women, Inc. She joyfully served in this role for four years, overseeing the transition of the organization into a 501 (c) 3.
Ruth has spoken at numerous conferences, including the National
Association of Broadcasters, Commercial Radio Australia, lots of Local
Media Association conferences, the Radio Advertising Bureau Managing Conference and Rising Through the Ranks.
Ruth is located in Southern California, happily married and the mother of two incredible sons. She’s also, at times, a fairly decent tennis player and photographer.
