Rich Harrington

Creative Problem Solver at ThinkTap

Rich Harrington has had a lifelong relationship with media. At seven, he was grounded for using magnets to warp the family’s 13-inch color TV (it works—don’t try it). Since then he’s chased far better experiments.

Rich helps creative pros make sharper, cleaner, on-brand content—without getting lost in menus. An Adobe Certified Master Trainer and early voice in digital photography and nonlinear editing, he turns complex tools into simple, repeatable techniques you can use right away in Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.

His passion is creating assistive AI that enhances—not invents—pixels: smart exposure and white-balance fixes, noise reduction, tone mapping, and dependable auto-color. He also designs intuitive workflow systems that organize content the way the brain works. He’s held product design and product management roles with Radiant Imaging Labs, Mylio, Skylum, and EyeQ.

Beyond the stage, Rich consults for technology companies and nonprofits—clarifying product vision, empowering customers with credible education, and building authentic community events. A former broadcast journalist, he brings a storyteller’s eye and an editor’s pragmatism to every session.

He’s authored 30+ books and 200+ video courses, spoken at major conferences worldwide since 2003, chaired programs for the National Association of Broadcasters, and mentors the community at RichardHarrington.com. If you’re after real-world techniques, smart workflow, and a few “wait—how did I not know that?” moments, come hang out with Rich.

Off the clock, he’s with his wife, Meghan, traveling, making photos, and introducing his kids to science fiction and comic books. If it involves pop culture, Rich is plugged in. Gadgets and gizmos? He’s your guy.

He believes our world is cluttered with confusing messages. His philosophy: communicate, motivate, create. Media has real power—and he’s eager to help on your next project.
