Mikael Wånggren is Senior Software Solutions Architect at Appear, where he drives innovation in media transport and live production technology. With over 12 years of experience in the media industry, Wånggren has also served as both product owner and software engineer, combining technical expertise with strategic product vision. He has been an active contributor to the RIST family of standards and was instrumental in developing award-winning products, receiving such honors as NAB Product of the Year, TVBEurope Best of Show at IBC, and TV Tech Best of Show at NAB. Wånggren holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.
