Jonathan Esquivel is a senior computer scientist for Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas. He has a background in cyber security, data science, and machine learning with advanced degrees in computer science and mathematics. During his time at the institute, Mr. Esquivel has influenced numerous applied machine learning technologies across a wide variety of areas including fugitive leak detection, traffic system monitoring, automotive cyber security, markerless motion capture, and automation technolgies. Recently he has adopted a key role in leading generative artificial intelligence technolgies across wide areas within the institute providing guidance on AI practicality, risks, and transparency. Jonathan is currently working on an internal effort to improve information processing and distillation in newsroom workflows.
