
James Wyld has been with Riot Games since 2014 and is a principal infrastructure engineer within the Esports Events Technology team. As tech lead for the team, he is an instrumental part of the planning and implementation process for the infrastructure that supports Riot’s on-site presence at live esport events, as well as Riot’s permanent broadcast facilities around the world. During construction of Riot’s Remote Broadcast Centres, powered by AWS, James led the design of the core technology stack, including Cisco 2110 IP network, on-prem Cisco compute, ultra-low-latency contribution transmission strategy, and the capability to use cloud workflows as an integral piece of the design.
