Fred just crossed 50 years of broadcast experience since first picking up an ENG camera in college: Time in radio production and engineering, then transitioned to Maryland Public TV (PBS) as an editor, audio specialist, ENG truck operator and trainer, and finally high-power RF specialist as transmission supervisor. Spent a few engaging years installing transmitters and as an integrator in many countries, then turned to fun with NASA as special projects video lead for Goddard Space Flight Center at the dawn of HDTV. Today, still heading RF projects and managing technical needs for the DC market as DOT for Televisa/Univision for the past 25 years. Fred has a B.S. in Communications from Towson University. He serves on SBE Board of Directors, is a local SMPTE manager, a member of AES, and a few years organizing one track of the annual SBE Ennes workshop @ NAB Vegas.
