Mermaid Toast

Ellenor Argyropoulos is an award-winning director and creative director from Australia, now based in Los Angeles. She is the Co-Founder of Mermaid Toast, a female-driven creative agency pioneering AI-native storytelling that merges cutting-edge technology with cinematic craft. Recognized as a Trailblazer by Forbes, Ellenor has worked with Michael Bay and frequently collaborates with leading figures in film technology as a consultant for the ASC’s Motion Imaging Technology Council AI Committee, contributing to conversations on the future of cinema alongside James Cameron, Rob Legato (Apollo 13, Shutter Island), and Sal Totino (Spider-Man: Homecoming).

In 2019, Ellenor co-founded Mermaid Toast with producer Aphra Williams. The company has created campaigns for brands such as Ford, Qantas, Hair Story, and Village Roadshow, while also producing original films and running an education platform that teaches directors how to harness AI for pitching and previsualization.

Her work spans narrative, documentary, branded content, and live visuals. Current projects include The Sun Sets Within Me (a claymation-AI hybrid with Oscar-nominated studio XTR), Speed Queen (a series with Rob Minkoff), and the documentary On The Grid (with Alex Pettyfer’s Dark Dreams Entertainment), which follows women’s pursuit of seats in Formula 1.

Ellenor’s career is defined by a drive to merge cinematic storytelling with innovation, fueled by the same wide-eyed enthusiasm that first drew her to the magic of moviemaking.
