Dylan Bates, known as The Final Cut Bro, began his journey in video editing in 2005 at the age of nine, gaining early experience on professional film sets under the guidance of his father, a filmmaker. While he worked in roles such as grip, gaffer, and director of photography, his true passion has always been post-production. Over the years, Dylan has edited a wide range of projects, from short films to episodic television broadcast globally, developing deep expertise in Final Cut Pro and Apple Motion. In 2020, he began sharing editing tutorials on YouTube, and his channel has since grown to nearly 90,000 subscribers. Today, Dylan is a certified instructor for Final Cut Pro and Apple Motion and has spoken at the Final Cut Pro Creative Summit, where he continues to share his enthusiasm for editing while fostering a positive, encouraging learning environment.
