David Touze is Principal Engineer at InterDigital, with expertise in hardware design, system architecture and image/video processing.

Since 2008, David has worked with teams leading research on new video formats, specifically High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Wide Color Gamut techniques adapted for live video production and distribution workflows. His contributions have been fundamental to the definition of HDR content distribution formats and standards.

David began his career as a hardware design engineer, working on board design, FPGA, and ASIC development, followed by system engineering roles within telecommunications companies including Philips, Newbridge, and Alcatel. In 2004, David joined Technicolor, where he contributed to ASIC design in the field of video compression. He holds an engineering degree from the École Supérieure d’Électricité (Supelec).
