David is the Executive Director of the Academy Software Foundation, an organization created by the motion picture industry to support the growing community of engineers developing open source software for filmmaking. He earned a B.Sc.A. in computer science from Laval University and has participated in the development of 3D computer graphics for movies and games since “Jurassic Park” and “Virtua Fighter” at companies such as Softimage, Microsoft, Avid Technology, Autodesk, and Epic Games. David is also chair of the Joint Technology Committee on Virtual Production at the American Society of Cinematographers, and a past co-chair of the Joint Technology Subcommittee on Previsualization.
