David Edwards has over 2 decades of experience in the world of video compression and broadcast transmission, with deep involvement in bringing to market some of the first professional MPEG-4, HEVC and 4k transmission systems.

David's work has taken him through many of the broadcast industry’s key transmission technologies. He holds 5 broadcast related patents and has supported the deployment many broadcast distribution solutions – whilst being deeply involved in IP networking solutions throughout.  

With a focus on technologies and solutions that bring content from major events into the broadcast food-chain, David has pioneered many well-known video transmission products that form much of today’s global broadcast networks.

David is Product Manager at Net Insight, holding responsibility for the Nimbra 400 product range – Something that powers much of the broadcasting world’s key video networks.
