Darren Alline is a broadcast engineering leader with over 40 years of experience. He began his career in 1985 with ABC and CBS Sports while studying at Loyola University New Orleans, graduating magna cum laude in television production.

He joined WPLG in Miami in 1991 and, after a brief stint at MTV Networks, returned to lead its technical evolution. As Director of Engineering since 1999, he has driven major advancements in automation, digital workflows, and HD broadcasting, while overseeing new studio and transmission infrastructure.

Today, he focuses on adapting broadcast operations for a changing media landscape, including IP-based delivery, multi-platform content, and cybersecurity.
