Carin Forman is a seasoned Digital Transformation Executive and Media Management Leader with over 25 years of experience in the media and entertainment industry. Carin wrote the business plan and started Discovery Communications, Digital Asset Management (DAM), to centralize archival content, international assets; trailers, scripts and audio tracks for digital delivery. Carin helped accelerate time to market and eliminate physical materials and duplication of international tracks. Carin built a robust metadata taxonomy to create search and discoverability to their MAM and DAM systems so content could be shared internationally. Carin moved to NY and joined HBO, serving as the Director of IT, Digital Media. Carin helped build a digital end to end with IT and Broadcast for unified workflows, metadata taxonomy and cloud based transformation. With the focus on HBO GO/NOW, Carin moved into a content role as the Director of Marketing, leading the migration to cloud for Marketing assets including photography, logos and trailers. Carin lead an RFP and implemented a cloud based Digital Asset Management, Collaboration system, enabling workflows and approvals with Legal, Business Affairs, Marketing and Creatives. Expanding across WarnerMedia, Carin supported the initial launch of HBO MAX for HBO, Turner and WarnerBros. unit and gallery photography, aggregating content and helping normalize metadata for seamless distribution onto OTT. Currently, Carin serves as the Global Partner Lead for Media Supply Chain and Archive at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where she is responsible for partner strategy and enablement to support media, entertainment gaming and sports customers with their Media Supply Chain and cloud initiatives.
