
Ankur Sharma is a Principal Architect at Equinix, where he leads architecture and innovation across multi-cloud networking and precision time services. He has been instrumental in developing Equinix Precision Time, the industry’s first Time-as-a-Service offering, enabling highly accurate and resilient time synchronization for global enterprises. With deep expertise in distributed systems, data center infrastructure, and timing technologies, Ankur focuses on the intersection of time, networking, and emerging AI-driven workloads. His work addresses critical challenges in synchronization, observability, and deterministic system behavior across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Ankur is an active contributor to industry standards and research communities, serving in leadership roles within organizations such as Workshop on Synchronization and Timing Systems (WSTS) and Open Compute Project (OCP).
