As Senior Director of Adobe’s Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI), Andy Parsons leads the development of open standards and technologies that support digital provenance and verifiable media. His work centers on Content Credentials — cryptographically signed metadata that record authorship, creation context, and edit history throughout the lifecycle of digital content.
Andy plays a leadership role in the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA), the cross-industry standards body defining interoperable specifications for tamper-evident media. He works with engineering teams, standards organizations, and ecosystem partners to integrate C2PA implementations into creative tools, publishing systems, and distribution platforms. His focus is on open architecture, interoperability, and scalable trust frameworks capable of supporting images, video, audio, and AI-generated media.
Earlier in his career, Andy served as a Founder, CTO, and VP of Engineering, building distributed systems and API-driven platforms with small, high-performing teams. His technical background spans metadata architecture, large-scale web services, and open-source development.
A frequent speaker on digital provenance and synthetic media, he contributes to industry conversations on standards implementation, transparency, and media integrity.
