Andrew Shulkind serves as Senior Vice President, Capture & Innovation at Sphere Entertainment, where he leads multidisciplinary teams developing next-generation camera, audio, and imaging systems for Sphere’s immersive productions in Las Vegas. A core member of the studio leadership and creative teams, he helps define both how content is captured and what is creatively possible at unprecedented scale.

Andrew joined Sphere as an award-winning director of photography and advanced imaging consultant with more than two decades of experience advancing production technology across film, live events, experiential media, and commercial storytelling. His career has been defined by bringing emerging tools into real-world production environments.

His work is guided by a creative-first approach—translating complex imaging systems into practical solutions that enable ambitious storytelling. He has led projects spanning large-format and high-speed capture, 360° imaging, volumetric production, and custom-built camera systems designed for immersive environments.

Prior to Sphere, Andrew helped launch innovative camera and lighting technologies and advised leading studios, technology companies, and global brands—including Google, Microsoft, Canon, Sony, Samsung, Verizon, Live Nation, Facebook, and the NBA—on content innovation and production strategy.

He is the recipient of the Emerging Cinematographer Award from the International Cinematographers Guild (2014), StudioDaily Prime Awards for Innovator of the Year (2014 and 2016), and was named one of Variety’s “10 Cinematographers to Watch” (2018).
