Andreas Hildebrand is one of the broadcast audio industry’s most authoritative voices on Audio over IP, bringing more than 35 years of hands-on experience spanning software engineering, product management, and industry standardization.
As Technology Evangelist and Senior Product Manager for RAVENNA at Lawo, Andreas champions the adoption of open, interoperable AoIP technology across the professional audio and broadcasting landscape. His deep technical fluency — rooted in a graduate diploma in computer science and years as a software engineer and Head of Development — gives him a rare ability to bridge the gap between complex technical standards and real-world implementation.
His career includes senior project management roles overseeing major news system deployments at CNN-SI in Atlanta and WNPR in Washington D.C., as well as leading Product Management at DAVID Systems, an internationally operating software company in the Professional Audio and Broadcast market.
Andreas is a full-time participant in the AES Task Group defining and maintaining the AES67 AoIP standard and contributes actively to SMPTE ST2110 SVIP standardization. He participates in VSF and AMWA NMOS working groups and serves as Chair of the AIMS Technical Audio Subgroup — making him a central figure in shaping the interoperability frameworks that define modern broadcast infrastructure.
A sought-after speaker and educator, Andreas brings clarity, depth, and practical insight to topics that sit at the intersection of audio engineering, IT networking, and broadcast technology.
