Alex Pendleton is Manager, Systems Engineering on NETGEAR’s ProAV Design Team, where he leads the North American ProAV Design group and works with manufacturers, integrators, and consultants deploying AV-over-IP and broadcast networks.

During nearly 15 years at NETGEAR, he has worked across systems engineering, interoperability testing, network topology design, technical support, and training. His experience includes direct work with PTP and real-time media networking, as well as ST 2110, IPMX, NDI, and other professional AV technologies. He has also helped customers and technology partners design networks that balance performance, interoperability, and ease of operation.

That combination of hands-on engineering, interoperability testing, and network design gives him a practical perspective on how precision timing behaves inside the network and what engineers need to consider when deploying PTP-aware switching.
