Create an end-to-end broadcast video pipeline in AWS from content creation through distribution and management using the Zixi Platform and ZEN Master.

This Builder’s Lab will walk participants through deploying and configuring a workflow in AWS while demonstrating how the components operate behind the scenes.

Lab Overview
Participants will complete the following steps during the session:

Spin up a Broadcaster in AWS
Participants will deploy a broadcaster in AWS from ZEN Master. The session will briefly explain what is happening in the background and the manual process for context.

Ingest Content
Participants will ingest linear content via transport stream and create a failover input. This provides context for discussing resilience and failover techniques.

Content can be provided by:

• Downloading a mobile app and supplying your own content
• Using demo content provided during the session

Add Slate Content
Participants will add a slate file to their broadcaster.

Create Distribution Channels
Participants will create their own distribution channel and delivery feed. Build an HLS Pipeline Participants will create an HLS pipeline using AWS MediaConnect and MediaLive.

Apply Rights Restrictions
The group will create a shared embargo schedule. Participants will upload the global embargo schedule and apply embargo rules to selected destinations.
