This session reports on the recently announced “TechBundle,” a consolidated set of services for local public media stations offered by PMVG. It includes cloud-based joint master control services, remote broadcast encoding and transmitter monitoring/support services, PBS-focused station programming and traffic services, and local streaming apps. Also presented will be results of recent research conducted at PMVG’s NextGen TV test station, W35DZ-D, Cookeville, Tenn., regarding work on Passive Radar analysis with ATSC 3.0 signals, along with other general technical observations and innovations from the public media space as it adapts to new fiscal realities.
