Creating an AI Ethics Policy for Your Company

AI is moving fast—and if your organization is using it for video, marketing, or media production, you need more than a list of “do’s and don’ts.” You need a policy your team can actually follow when deadlines hit.

In this interactive session, you’ll work through the practical building blocks of an AI ethics policy designed for real creative workflows. We’ll cover the essentials—bias, transparency, accountability, and risk—then move quickly into what matters most: where to draw the line for your company and how to make those decisions consistent across teams.

Using real-world case studies, we’ll examine common scenarios video creators face (AI-assisted editing, generative visuals, synthetic voice, enhancement tools, and more), identifying the ethical and legal pressure points—especially around disclosure, misinformation, consent/likeness, and copyright. From there, you’ll collaborate with peers to draft key policy components you can take back to your organization, including decision checkpoints, approval paths, and guidance for responsible use.

This is a discussion-based working session. Come ready to participate, share perspectives, and build something usable.
