Riedel Expands Reach As NAB Show Evolves
For global production technology company Riedel Communications, NAB Show is the international event of the year to connect with customers across the media, technology and entertainment industries.
“It’s just becoming the show to go to for all the different verticals, [to reach] anybody who needs any kind of production equipment or post-production equipment,” said Joyce Bente, president and CEO of Riedel Americas.
Founded in Germany in 1987, Riedel now operates in more than 30 locations worldwide, supporting broadcasters, sports leagues, production companies and venues that trust the company to make events run seamlessly. Once recognized for intercom systems, the company now offers a broader range of live production technologies and services.
That evolution mirrors the changing audience at NAB Show, which today attracts everyone from corporate production teams and major sports organizations to houses of worship, entertainment companies and broadcasters.
That’s why, Bente said, Riedel brings its entire global sales team to Las Vegas each year to generate new business opportunities and showcase the company’s evolving production ecosystem.
Turning Heads on the Show Floor
At the company’s booth at the 2026 NAB Show, attendees could explore its full ecosystem of tools and capabilities from start to finish.
“The tactile ability to grab a lever key and feel the hybrid lever key and to be able to control the audio or to be able to touch a touchscreen and switch a camera or replay or slow-mo something, that’s night and day,” Bente said. “It gets people excited and then they want to follow up.”
As visitors moved through the booth testing products, they also had the opportunity to speak directly with experts from the company’s research and development team. “You create something like a 360-degree view of the product,” said Lutz Rathmann, CEO of Riedel’s Managed Technology Division. “You can touch it. You can try it. The experts are here. Sometimes the R&D people are here to explain how this is really working at the core. So, this is a really big value for us.”
Bringing subject-matter experts to the booth is especially valuable at NAB Show, where more than eight out of 10 attendees come to purchase products and increasingly expect to speak directly with engineers, according to the 2026 NAB Show attendee survey results.
“They just walk into the booth, and they’ll see something that catches their eye. The next thing you know, it’s like, ‘We need to talk,’” Bente said.

Exhibiting at NAB Show is also an opportunity to build brand recognition and make a lasting impression on attendees navigating the crowded convention center. At the 2026 NAB Show, Riedel invested in prominent signage and leaned into the visual impact of its booth presence.
“This big red booth … sticks in people’s minds,” Bente said. The visual presence helps Riedel stand out on a crowded show floor while keeping them on customers’ radars long after NAB Show ends.
Riedel also used NAB Show as a platform to spotlight its recent acquisition of ARRI Cameras, a move finalized only a week prior to the event. The announcement drew a steady stream of attendees eager to explore new production solutions.
NAB Show is the place where you’re going to touch on the most customers. You’re going to touch on the most verticals. It’s an international show, so you’re getting people from all over the place. We bring our entire sales group from across the world. It’s the place to be.

Beyond the Booth
Beyond exhibit space, Riedel partnered with CineCentral, NAB Show’s hub for hands-on learning experiences where industry professionals share production techniques and emerging technologies.
As a CineCentral technology sponsor, Riedel’s logo and products were featured in live demonstrations, expert-led training sessions and immersive learning experiences for cinematographers, directors, camera operators and content creators.
Riedel also led a 45-minute CineCentral Craft Clinic, with more than 80 attendees, where they demonstrated the company’s Bolero wireless intercom system and its capabilities for on-set communication.
Moreover, Riedel’s Commentary Control App was recognized with a prestigious 2026 NAB Show Product of the Year Award in the audio production, processing and networking category.
For Bente, these demonstrations and conversations are what continue to make NAB Show an important investment for the company.
Riedel also extends that outreach beyond Las Vegas through its longtime presence at NAB Show New York, with Bente noting that 80% of those attendees do not travel to Las Vegas for the spring event.
As audience expectations, production workflows and media technologies continue to evolve, Riedel sees NAB Show evolving alongside them — serving as a platform to showcase innovation, strengthen relationships and help shape the future of live production.
