Imagine Communications Looks to NAB Show New York to Help Shape the Future of Media

It’s one of the reasons we love coming to NAB Show New York. This is where the software actually gets used. I mean, within a couple blocks walk of here, I can go visit 10 of my biggest customers, and I can talk to the actual people that are using the software.

A Growing East Coast Audience

In recent years, Reynolds has observed a broader range of attendees at NAB Show New York beyond traditional broadcasters.

“One of the things that we’ve seen over the course of the last couple of years in particular at this Show is a lot more participation by the teams and the leagues,” Reynolds said.

Sports organizations increasingly attend NAB Show New York to explore technologies supporting production, distribution and fan engagement.

“We’ve probably had two dozen meetings this week with people that are representatives of the individual sports teams or representatives of the leagues,” Reynolds said. “They know that this is where the technology is going to be showcased. This is where they can get answers.”

The audience has also expanded beyond sports. Reynolds noted that many of Imagine Communications’ newer customers include Fortune 500 companies operating internal production studios and distribution networks, along with houses of worship. As those industries invest more heavily in content creation and distribution, they are finding their way to NAB Show New York.
