Mike is the principal of Strein et al, LLC, an advisory company for the media industry. Mike recently retired from ABC News in NY, where he spent 36 years as the Director of Engineering and Technology. Mike currently holds 57 US patents, has been an active SMPTE NY board member since 1997, is a SMPTE Fellow, was on the board of AMWA and is currently the chair of the JT-DMF (Joint Task Force on Dynamic Media Facilities) Business Track. Prior to ABC, Mike spent 7 years at Standard Microsystems Corporation as part of a semiconductor design team. He has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from SUNY Polytechnic University in Utica/Rome.
