This session explores Paramount’s Skunk Works model, where cross-functional teams operate with a “first-to-test” mindset to rapidly prototype, validate, and scale user experience improvements. At the core is a UX SPEED framework — focused on startup time, playback latency, navigation responsiveness, and visual fluidity—to systematically identify and close performance gaps. Using Amazon Fire TV as a case study, the session will demonstrate how Paramount applies this model in real-world environments — partnering with platform providers, optimizing at the device level, and iterating quickly through lightweight experimentation. Attendees will gain insight into how speed, alignment, and focused experimentation enable measurable UX improvements across Paramount+ and Pluto TV, and how this approach can be extended across platforms.
