Sean Wallitsch is a Solutions Architect for Visual Compute at Amazon Web Services (AWS), drawing on 15+ years of experience as a compositor and pipeline developer at studios including Rhythm & Hues and DreamWorks Animation.

An active open source contributor, Sean created *cdl_convert* to help exchange color data in editorial and VFX workflows, contributed to and championed the adoption of OpenTimelineIO at the Academy Software Foundation (ASWF), and co-developed Open Job Description (OpenJD), the open specification powering AWS Deadline Cloud.

He represents AWS on the ASWF Governing Board, participating in the governance of projects like the Open Review Initiative and ASWF’s Summer Learning Program.

When not working, you’ll find him with his family and his needy cat, playing video games, or soaring through the skies as a pilot.
