
Mark Weingartner, ASC
Mark is a director of photography inclined towards visual effects and a visual effects supervisor. His cinematography can be seen, if not recognized, in Dunkirk, Interstellar, Inception, the Dark Knight films, the G.I. Joe films, the last three Hunger Games films, the last two Twilight films, the second Venom film, The Tourist, and one shot in Solo: A Star Wars Story, among others.
A member of the American Society of Cinematographers, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the and the Visual Effects Society, Weingartner has developed methodologies for shooting challenging visual effects sequences and elements. He has served on Academy committees including the Sci Tech Awards Committee and is the 2nd National Vice President of the International Cinematographers Guild, Local 600 IATSE.
Under favorable conditions, he can also make a pretty decent omelet.
