Cyrus Eason

Head of Engineering

Ghost Kits

Cyrus is a software engineer and technologist working at the intersection of hardware, software, and media systems. He holds a B.S. in Materials Science Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh, and completed postgraduate coursework in Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Before joining Ghost Kits, Cyrus spent seven years at Epic, one of the world’s leading electronic medical record software companies, where he focused on building secure, high-performance data systems at scale. His work spanned database architecture, third-party API integrations, new feature development, and workflow optimization. Among his key contributions was a multi-hospital data consolidation initiative that significantly reduced redundancy across large SQL environments to improve performance, data consistency, and patient experience. He also led feature development designed to improve adherence to early-onset neonatal sepsis guidelines, as well as the development of tools to enable clinicians to more effectively document patient-specific safety and accessibility needs.

Cyrus brings deep experience in secure data infrastructure, backend optimization, and scalable system design – expertise that translates directly to the evolving demands of modern media and broadcast technology. At Ghost Kits, he leads infrastructure development across the full stack: from firmware to operating system integration, to network optimization algorithms, to user data management. His work focuses on enabling reliable, low-latency, and portable production systems that support creators and broadcasters in increasingly distributed and real-time environments.

Cyrus’ background in high-stakes, data-intensive systems lends him a unique perspective on the convergence of robust engineering practices and creative technology. His approach emphasizes performance, reliability, and interoperability – key considerations as the broadcast industry continues to adopt more software-defined and cloud-connected workflows.
