My name is Ashley Nfonga, and I am a senior at Howard University, expecting to graduate in Spring 2026 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. I am passionate about software engineering and the many ways it can be used to positively impact society, from improving everyday user experiences to increasing access to information and resources. I am especially interested in how technology continues to grow in a way that benefits communities, as well as how public policy plays a role in shaping how these technologies are developed, accessed, and regulated.
Currently, I am part of a team developing a NextGenTV application using ATSC 3.0, focused on delivering localized dining, events, and community information directly through television platforms. Through this work, I aim to contribute to building innovative and accessible solutions that connect people with their communities.
