
Dr. Nichola Lubold is a research scientist whose work focuses on understanding how intelligent technologies interact with human behavior to support and improve human performance. Her research sits at the intersection of artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction, and human-centered system design.
Throughout her career, Dr. Lubold has served as Principal Investigator on projects funded by organizations including DARPA, the U.S. Department of Defense, and the FAA. Her work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, and she holds multiple patents related to intelligent and adaptive systems.
Dr. Lubold earned her B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and her Ph.D. in Computer Science, with a specialization in Human-Computer Interaction, from Arizona State University. She is currently exploring new applications of artificial intelligence at Google.
