Travis W Keyes
Cinematic Portrait Photographer
From film sets to nightclubs, studios to streets, Travis W. Keyes has always chased moments with energy, intention and story at their core. Based in New York City, Travis is a cinematic portrait photographer whose work spans large-scale commercial campaigns, corporate branding and editorial portraiture, while remaining equally at home photographing high-profile events, intimate family portraitsand weddings. No matter the scale, his images feel lived-in, expressive and unmistakably human.
A proud alumnus of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts (BFA, Photography), Travis’s creative path began in film and television production before weaving through entrepreneurial ventures in hospitality across New York, Connecticut and Miami. That blend of visual storytelling and real-world grit shaped his approach behind the camera. A return to NYC — and formative study at the International Center of Photography (ICP) — reignited his creative fire, cementing a belief he still carries today: the camera saved my soul.
In 2014, he founded Travis W Keyes Photography, growing it from a passion-driven pursuit into a respected, internationally recognized brand. Known for his ability to disarm, connect and elevate his subjects, Travis brings the same cinematic sensitivity to a Fortune 500 boardroom, a crowded event floor or a quiet wedding morning. His collaborations with Sony, Adobe, NBC, AMC Networks and others reflect a reputation for imagery that balances polish with honesty — and presence with restraint.
Beyond client work, Travis is deeply invested in the creative community. He served as New York Chair and later National President of American Photographic Artists through January 2026, advocating for photographers at every stage of their careers. He is a member of Adobe’s Lightroom Advisory Board, the National Association of Broadcasters Creator Council, a Harlowe Ambassador of Light and a Sony Alpha Camera Advocate — roles that reflect both his technical expertise and his commitment to education, access and mentorship.
Whether speaking on stage, leading workshops, or working one-on-one behind the lens, Travis’s mission remains simple: create meaningful images, build community and remind people of the power of being seen.
