
Marc Zorn leads Content Protection and Production Security at Marvel Studios. A veteran cybersecurity and media production technologist, he works across studio production, post-production workflows, and enterprise security architecture to safeguard high-value content.
His production background spans digital cinematography, dailies, VFX, color science, editorial, conform, metadata, localization, Digital Cinema Packaging, and secure delivery. He was among the original authors of the MPAA Security Best Practices, helping shape foundational security standards adopted across the film and television industry. His cybersecurity expertise includes enterprise network design, firewalls, IDS/IPS, forensics, and large-scale directory services deployment.
A long-time SMPTE member, Marc served two terms as Chair of the Hollywood Section. He frequently contributes to the SMPTE Motion Imaging Journal and has spoken at SMPTE’s Media Technology Summit, where he served as Co-Chair of the 2024 conference and Chair of the 2025 Summit in Pasadena. An Associate member of the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC), he also chaired the Academy Color Encoding System (ACES) Logo Program Task Force for AMPAS. His certifications include CISSP, CISA, GIAC, PMP, CCIE, and FAA commercial credentials.
