Storytelling is part of Amy’s DNA. From her early days as an art department plebe on Forrest Gump to directing non-fiction shorts for 20,000-person events, Amy has leveraged her storytelling talents across digital platforms and live events. A LinkedIn Learning author with 11 courses, #GALSNGEAR Tequity Talk podcast host, and Routledge Press author, Amy is always ready to share knowledge with our industry community. An advocate for women in media/tech, Amy founded #GALSNGEAR, a 2,000-member global community, to improve representation of women, women of color, and nonbinary people on conference stages, and provide upskilling, beta-testing, and networking opportunities. She received the International Association of Broadcast Manufacturers (IABM) Mentoring Award and a Woman of Vision Leadership Award from Women in Film and Video. She holds a B.A. in English from Yale University. For fun, she lifts heavy at the gym, and performs regularly as the concertmaster of the NIH Philharmonia.
