NAB Show is the ‘Technical Pulse of the Industry’

Michelle Munson, CEO and co-founder of Eluvio, shares why she launched two companies at NAB Show

Michelle Munson, CEO and co-founder of two game-changing companies, calls NAB Show the forum to unveil new products and demonstrate major technology innovations to the right audience.

“There is no other place that would bring together the customer base and industry like NAB Show,” Munson said. “This is why we put so much attention and really organize some of our product release announcements around the Show.”

Every year, NAB Show draws tens of thousands of curious, attentive potential customers and stakeholders, making it the perfect stage for tech entrepreneurs to showcase products and build meaningful connections.

Munson launched Aspera, an Emmy award-winning technology acquired by IBM in 2014, at the Show. More recently, she introduced Eluvio, which solves key challenges in delivering video content online. Eluvio’s technology is now used by Amazon Studios/MGM, European Professional Club Rugby, FOX, Gladius Sports, SONY Pictures, Telstra Broadcast Services, UEFA, Warner Bros. and WWE, among others.

Eluvio’s Content Fabric “Bangkok Release” earned the 2025 NAB Show Product of the Year for delivering transformational advantages in content distribution and monetization. “It’s been very exciting this year,” Munson said. “We’ve been able to take this to full scale.”

A Pipeline of Business Opportunities and Friendships

For a grassroots technologist like Munson, NAB Show simplifies the challenge of connecting with all the right people. From national and international partners to startups and major stakeholders, everyone is under one roof.

Beyond business deals, the Show simultaneously curates environments that spark lifelong friendships and partnerships.

The “friendships last,” Munson said. “And it leads to multiple things.”

With the industry’s top minds in attendance, “so much innovation spreads by word of mouth,” Munson said. “It’s the place to see the state of the art, and the conversations here shape the industry’s direction.”

I think the hallmark of this is how NAB Show has not only lasted post-pandemic but seems to have remade itself and grown,” she said. “And that shows how much people care about it.

Innovation at the Forefront

Munson calls NAB Show the “technical pulse of the industry,” a place where ideas are tested, partnerships are established and trends come into focus.

“I think the hallmark of this is how NAB Show has not only lasted post-pandemic but seems to have remade itself and grown,” she said. “And that shows how much people care about it.”

The Show also offers space for software demonstrations. This year, Eluvio requested a large open suite for live demos. “That flexibility goes a long way,” Munson said. “It helps keep things modern.”

From live product demonstrations to curated networking, NAB Show gives companies the chance to accelerate their strategies, engage key decision-makers and nurture relationships that last well beyond the event. For Eluvio and countless others, the Show continues to be an essential platform to showcase innovation and shape the future of media.
