Vinay Purohit is a technologist, inventor, and entrepreneur with 25+ years of experience at startups and large corporations spanning diverse technology domains such as Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Telecom, Data Networking, Wireless, and SATCOM. He’s the founder and CTO at CloudJuncxion, a leader in SD-WAN technology that’s fundamentally disrupting how networks are envisioned, designed, and implemented across military/DoD and commercial verticals. CloudJuncxion also provides cloud-based security solutions for enterprises with stringent security requirements by using an innovative heterogeneous multi-cloud architecture.
Prior to CloudJuncxion, he was the CTO of the New Ventures group at Alcatel-Lucent and invented the VSA (Virtual Spectrum Aggregation) technology that allows innovative use of disjoint blocks of wireless spectrum for resilient communications. Vinay was the principal architect of the transmission system for Sirius Satellite Radio (now Sirius XM) and was responsible for the architecture and engineering of the satellite uplink as well as the OFDM terrestrial repeater network in early 2000s. At Bell Labs, he was the lead architect and principal engineer for numerous data-networking R&D initiatives spanning over a decade.
Vinay holds six patents and has multiple publications. He holds B.Tech (’91) and M.S. (’93) degrees in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and Texas A&M University, respectively.
