Liz Alesse is a media executive and recognized industry leader with two decades of experience across television, radio, and podcasting. Most recently, she served as Vice President of ABC Audio at ABC News, overseeing the nation’s largest commercial radio network and a rapidly expanding podcast portfolio.

Under her leadership, ABC Audio built one of the fastest-growing news and true crime podcast businesses in the country. She launched original narrative series, including chart-topping hits like Cold Blooded: Mystery in Alaska and What Happened to Holly Bobo?, leading the division through a period of unprecedented audience and revenue growth. Her teams earned more than a dozen Edward R. Murrow Awards for podcasting and radio journalism, including Overall Excellence in 2023 and 2025. Radio Ink Magazine has recognized her as one of the Top 20 Leaders in Radio and one of the Most Influential Women in Radio, featuring her on its May 2024 cover.

Liz began her career in local television news in Albany and Boston before joining ABC News in 2015, producing political coverage, presidential debates, and major breaking news. She later helped lead the network’s White House and Capitol Hill reporting before moving into executive leadership.

She serves on the board of the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) and is committed to advancing high-quality journalism and expanding opportunities for innovative storytelling across platforms.
