Shawn Maynard is the senior vice president and general manager at Florical Systems, where he has led the company since 2006. With a career built on decades of experience in broadcast technology and operations, Maynard is known for combining strategic vision with hands-on leadership to drive innovation and growth.

Before joining Florical, Maynard served as director of operations at NBCUniversal, overseeing the Southeast hub. During that time, he honed his expertise in broadcast automation and workflow optimization—skills that later helped shape Florical’s next generation of products. His leadership was key in the creation of Smart Central and the award-winning Acuitas platform, both of which have become industry benchmarks.

Under his guidance, Florical has expanded its market share, grown revenue, and diversified its product offerings to meet the evolving needs of broadcasters worldwide.

Maynard served for the past five years as the section chair for SMPTE's Florida Chapter. He remains actively engaged in the broadcast community where he helps shape the future of the industry through collaboration and shared expertise.
