Christy Tanner is a technology leader and media executive who has built the world’s most recognizable brands and startups into dominant streaming and digital competitors. Tanner currently chairs Swerve Sports, a new streaming channel dedicated to women’s sports. She is a board director and head of the Audit Committee for Audacy, one of two scaled $1B+ audio companies in the US, with award-winning podcasts and more than 220 radio stations. Previously, as the leader of multiple CBS Interactive divisions, Tanner launched game-changing live streaming services that drove exponential audience and revenue growth. As a consultant, she has created new business models for numerous clients including BBC, Outside, TelevisaUnivision, PBS and Altice.

Her notable honors include the Technology Leadership Award from Broadcasting & Cable, selection as co-chair of the Reykjavik Global Forum, appointment as a UN Generation Equality Leader and election as Co-Chair of DCN, the digital trade association whose members include the largest media and technology companies in the world. She has a BA from Brown University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
