Media Accreditation and Show Registration

Media/press credentials for NAB Show are reserved for individuals whose primary purpose is producing independent editorial coverage or industry analysis for a public audience. While this includes journalists, analysts and content creators, accreditation is based on a demonstrated history of reporting rather than technical production or professional service roles.
1. Core Requirements
To qualify for a press pass, your application must demonstrate the following things:
- Editorial Focus: You are attending to report on the Show for a third-party news outlet or a public-facing channel. (Note: We do not issue press credentials for private business use, for-hire production services or internal corporate marketing.)
- Recent Activity: You have published at least three examples of relevant editorial work within the last 24 months.
- Public Access: All supporting links must be publicly viewable. We cannot review content behind paywalls, login screens or private portfolios.
2. Supporting Documentation
You can demonstrate your editorial role through one of the following:
- Letter of Assignment: An email or letter from an independent editor or producer. (Note: We do not accept “self-assignment” letters from personal production or photography businesses.)
- Verifiable Byline: Proof of your role as a staff member or regular contributor at a recognized outlet.
- Existing Portfolio: For independent creators and analysts, a consistent history of covering industry tech or trends on a public platform (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Substack, etc.).
Note on Credentials: Providing a press ID, badge or business card from a media outlet helps establish professional legitimacy, but it is not sufficient for accreditation on its own. It must be accompanied by evidence of recent reporting or a clear intent to cover the current Show.
3. Review and Reconsideration
Accreditation is determined based on the evidence provided at the time of application.
- Burden of Proof: The applicant is responsible for providing all necessary links and documents. NAB Show does not conduct independent research or “Google” entities to verify credentials.
- Additional Information: If an application is declined due to insufficient evidence, applicants are welcome to submit additional documentation (such as a formal letter of assignment or recent bylines) for reconsideration by emailing [email protected].
4. Who Should Use the Attendee Pathway?
The following roles generally do not qualify for press credentials and should register as professional attendees:
- Technical and Production Crews: Camera operators, Steadicam/DIT professionals, and for-hire crews attending for technical development or to scout gear for their own businesses.
- Sales and Marketing: Roles in business development, advertising or PR.
- Exhibitors and Sponsors: Please apply to exhibit or contact our Sales team.
